We believe that financial education is key for women to be successful

My name is Daniela Valdivia, and I am a fellow of the YLAI program from Bolivia. I run a non-profit organization called "Huellas & Futuro," which has been working towards violence prevention, with a focus on female empowerment as a strategy for reducing domestic violence, since 2011.

What is the financial education program about?

The financial education program is aimed at providing women living in poverty and experiencing domestic violence with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to manage their finances and improve their economic well-being.

What kind of support and resources will be provided to the participants?

Participants will receive a comprehensive curriculum that includes topics on budgeting, savings, investment, and credit management, among others. The program will also provide participants with access to financial tools, resources and support systems to help them improve their financial stability.

How will the program be delivered?

The program will be delivered through a combination of online and in-person workshops, as well as one-on-one support and mentorship opportunities.

What kind of volunteer opportunities are available?

There are several volunteer opportunities available, including facilitation of workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and support in program delivery and administration.

What skills and experience do volunteers need to have?

Volunteer requirements may vary depending on the specific volunteer role, but a passion for helping women living in poverty and experiencing domestic violence, as well as a background or experience in finance and/or education is preferred.

What is the time commitment for volunteers?

The time commitment will depend on the specific volunteer role and may vary from a few hours per week to a more substantial commitment, such as leading a workshop or serving as a mentor.

How will volunteers be recognized for their contributions?

Volunteers will be recognized for their contributions through certificates of appreciation, public recognition, and other opportunities to network and engage with the wider community.
